The European Confederation of Flax and Hemp I CELC is reinforcing its digital strategy to a constantly evolving textile market, anticipating the needs and demands of brands and players in the ready-to-wear sector. For spring/summer 22, CELC is launching a new open-source platform to facilitate connections between members, spinners, weavers, knitters, and their clients, brands, and fashion designers.
Based on expertise from Tagwalk, the fashion key-word search engine, this online service-tool highlights trends and innovations for each season, and supplements the Linen Innovation Book, the paper version of the trends and sourcing book published twice a year by the CELC.
This initial digital Linen Dream Lab migration offers fashion brands, designers, and young creators, but also trend-setters, design officers, and journalists a new and inspiring Linen experience with access to the latest trends, new items, and manufacturers’ innovations.
Sourcing is made easy: the platform will give you an immersive experience using photos and videos with all the necessary details on threads and fabrics (weight, size, composition, length available), with filters you can use to search for products based on their technical characteristics, suppliers, and labels.
By signing up for the platform, users can make selections and create seasonal moodboards, then contact the manufacturers directly.
But they can also obtain information: The tool presents the European Linen sector in its ecosystem and helps users find the various support services that are available through the CELC (access to studies on the performance and remarkable qualities of Linen, information on traceability certifications through the EUROPEAN FLAX© and MASTERS OF LINEN© labels and CSR, Linen Story Telling.)
The CELC also offers Linen training programs for brands and retailers, and support for developing sales in brick-and-mortar boutiques or the I Love Linen e-store.
The platform is meant to evolve and expand over time with Linen news for the art of living universe.
