Bénédicte Kaluvangimoko
First Place Prize, TALENTS DE MODE 2016
As an ex-fashion blogger and free-lance stylist, Bénédicte KALUVANGIMOKO has always loved playing with different shapes, colours and materials. The basic concept of her fashion label FILLE DE JOIE is to produce totally original womenswear garments with one key vision in mind: simple but skillfully sexy.
With a fascination for the world of fetishism, she cleverly blends black plastic, ties and fishnets with streetwear materials like jersey sweatpants.
FILLE DE JOIE received a prize worth €25,000, including:
- A 2-year residency in a workshop-showroom at the Village des Créateurs in Lyon. The first year will be completely free; the second 50% off.
- A cheque worth €5,000 presented by the Partners club at the VDC.
- Personnalised business development support.
- A space in one of the halls at the WHO’S NEXT ready-to-wear trade show in Paris.

Ylan and Davy Dahan
“Coup de Cœur” Prize, TALENTS DE MODE 2016
This brand was established out of a desire to produce thoughtful, urban-inspired products that blend quality material with traditional savoir-faire. With this in mind, Ylan Dahan completed his training in leather craft and responded to a demand for a product that was nowhere to be found in the existing market. Today, he directs the project with his brother Davy, with whom he shares a mutual passion for elegant and subtle shapes and styles. Breaking fashion codes and modernising old designs without any risk to the product quality, LE FEUILLET puts forward a leatherwear collection in an urban landscape, inspired by a desire to form closer ties between man and object and to create a product that perfectly fulfills its function.
LE FEUILLET received a prize worth €8,000, including:
- A cheque worth €1,000 presented by the Partners club at the VDC.
- An area in one of the halls at the PREMIERE CLASSE trade show.
- VDC membership.
- A year’s subscription to the platform, THE FRENCH TALENTS.
