Vincent Privat is a seller of rare records and other vinyl and cassette musical curiosities, and a bargain hunter for African music. You can discover a selection of music from the African continent (Soukous, Rumba, Afro-pop, Afro-beat…) for all budgets, in original vinyls gathered on his travels and in re-released formats.
This edition, Vincent is focusing on urban music from the African diaspora: Raggamuffin, Zouk, Zouglou, Hip Hop, Kwaito and Bubblegum. A selection of urban folk art from West Africa will also be available: painted barber plates and hand-painted Ghanaian cinema posters.
While waiting for the opening of his shop in the 18th arrondissement, he takes appointments at his house in Ménilmontant, to help you discover his most surprising finds!
