POE, ethical odyssey

unnamed-1

Story
In 2009, Galician designer Leticia Garnelo launched the Spanish brand POE. Since then, the company has continued to evolve and develop into the team it is today, a creative and professional hub that has managed to advance the essence of the brand: an essence and style that is fresh and simple with a touch of the romantic, giving the label its unique identity.

Style

From its very beginning, Poe has been committed to 100% made in Spain production, paying particular attention to the preparation of garments and the use of high-quality fabrics such as cotton, linen and silk. The majority of the materials used are sourced in Italy and France, but suede and goat’s leather comes straight from Spain. Poe is committed to traditional craft skills and methods, and the quality of production is reflected in the everyday wearing of the clothes.

Commitment

100 % handmade and all-natural materials

Cortana collections are known for their elegance and attention to detail, and every garment is handmade with beautiful finishing touches and the highest quality fabrics. Yet Rosa Esteva’s talents are by no means limited to high-end fashion; she has also been involved in making costumes for dance, theatre and opera as well as work uniforms for luxury hotels.

André Namistala started out with a menswear collection but later turned to producing unisex fashion lines, creating a subtle wardrobe from natural textiles (cotton, silk…) that he creates entirely from the comfort of his workshop in Rio, Brazil.

Style

No shoulder pads and coat linings: this is all about minimalism. For his latest collection entitled “Monaco,” he presented a range of XXL summer blazers, shorts and tunics in linen and stripes. The master of “tropical tailoring,” the label is perfectly adapted to holidaying in the southern hemisphere.
